Below is a sampling of upcoming events in the East Kingdom. This is not a comprehensive list - you may find that on the Kingdom web site. Instead, I am attempting to use the same criteria as our previous Web Mistress - "An event might be selected for this page because it is nearby, because it has, historically, drawn a large number of Malagentians, because its a Kingdom event, or because I've had a good time at the event before and I think you will too."

Saturday March 27 Mudthaw: One and all are invited to attend the Barony of Settmour Swamp's 30th annual Celebration of the Thawing of the Mud. As always, Mudthaw will feature a wide variety of activities: tournaments in Armored Combat (The traditional Mudthaw Rattan Double Elimination Tournament ), Rapier, Youth Combat, and Thrown Weapons.

Saturday April 10 Coronation of Edward and Marguerite: Royal Progress Event Come Gentles All to celebrate the Coronation of Edward and Marguerite! Once again the Eastern Crown passes in peaceful unbroken succession on Saturday, April 10, 2010. The Barony of Bergental is proud to host these glorious festivities in the Tudor style of Henry VII at the charming First Congregational Church of West Springfield, site of the Bergental/BBM Yule.

Saturday April 17 Silk and Steel: Spring's Inspirations IX and the Third Annual Northern Region Rapier Academy: No sooner has the snow melted, but the brave flowers of early spring herald in the new season! The winter has passed, and the artistic fruits of our labors during the dark months are begging to be shown the light of the spring day. The Province of Malagentia offers a day of the arts - of the sword, and of the needle and voice and pen.

Saturday April 17 Balfar's Challenge: Royal Progress Event &npsp;Hail and well met! Once again, Duke Balfar and the Barony of Dragonship Haven welcome the great fighters of the East Kingdom to test their mettle in our annual multi-marshallate competition. Gather your teams of fighters, fencers, archers or thrown weapons. There will be prizes for the best team in each martial category.

Saturday May 1 Tyger and Bucket Tavern Night: Tyger & Bucket is proud to open its doors in honor of Spring and to support our Majesties Royal travel fund. This event is a must attend for all those who need, nay, MUST relax from the toils of the hard winter. We have the most beautiful serving wenches to attend your table.
